Superweekers FAQ's

Where will I sleep?

All our centres have dormitory accommodation. They vary in size from centre to centre but will have between 4 and 10 beds in. Most have bunk beds, some are lots of single beds (a bit like Harry Potter). There will be somewhere for you to put away your things - a cupboard or some drawers.

Your dormitory is a very special room on Superweek and you can decorate it to make it yours - previous groups have turned dorms into sweet factories, jungles, alien planets and even the inside of a computer!

What if I’m not feeling well?

Every holiday has a Matron - this person is usually a nurse and it’s her job to look after everybody’s medicine, do First Aid and generally make sure everyone is feeling ok (she’s a bit like the Superweek mum!). You’ll always know where to find her if you need her and she’ll always be happy to see you - even if you just need a hug!

I especially enjoyed meeting new people, going to town, the games, having free time to play football. It keeps getting better each year!

Will I be able to write home?

Of course, you and your group could all walk into town to buy a postcard to send home.

We know that being away from home can be a bit scary, but we absolutely promise that we’ll do everything we can to make sure the only reason you have to miss home is because you’ll want to tell them all about your Superweek.

What’s the difference between a Superweek Plus and a Superweek?

Superweek Plus holidays are either 7 or 10 days. As well as all the fun, games and activities that you would find on a Superweek, there is time set aside each day to concentrate on a particular theme. Superweeks are 7 days stuffed full of fun, games and activities then even more fun, games and activities.

Can I come with a friend? Will we be in same group?

If you come with a friend you can ask to be in the same group. Groups are sorted by age so if you’re 11 you will be in a group with about six or seven other 11 year olds. If a large group of friends come together you probably wouldn’t all be in the same group. Groups are usually either all boys or all girls so you can all be in the same dorm together too. You group has their own Monitor who’s with you all the time; they eat with you, sleep in your dorm and do all the activities with you. Your group will spend lots of time with other groups and the whole holiday spends lots of time together. Don’t worry if you’re coming by yourself, most people do come on Superweek by themselves. We’re very good at making sure everyone gets to know each other quickly. No one ever gets left out on a Superweek.
